COME SEE WHO WE ARE!! TIERRASANTA VILLAGE OF SAN DIEGO will host a welcoming KICK-OFF CELEBRATION on Saturday, September 27, 2008, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., in the home of Greg and Fran Zweibel, 10417 El Comal Drive. This event heralds our official non-profit status under the Tierrasanta Foundation, and the launching of our Introductory Membership Drive. Come mingle with Tierrasanta “movers and shakers” as well as friendly TVSD members and volunteers. Hear about our fun activities, and learn what we have planned to help us all remain safely and happily in our Tierrasanta homes as we age. ***************************************** Do you want to live in your Tierrasanta home as long as possible? Tierrasanta Village of San Diego (TVSD) is a not-for-profit organization tailored for Tierrasanta residents (who have celebrated their 50th birthdays), and based on the Beacon Hill Village membership model (beaconhillvillage.org). When fully operational, TVSD will offer its members many of the activities and concierge services available in high-quality adult communities. The commitment is to enable resident members to live life to its fullest in their own homes as they age. TVSD will be launched in phases based on membership need, and will require professional management starting with Phase One. Phase One will offer multiple social and educational opportunities and access to the Member Volunteer Program, all of which will help TVSD build community for its membership. Phase Two will add a full-menu concierge service, weekly transportation to the grocery store and weekly exercise classes. Phase Three will add quality in-home health care oversight.

Mission Statement: To enable Tierrasanta Resident Members, age 50 and older, to have the practical means and the confidence to be able to live their lives to the fullest in their own homes as they grow older. Our Purpose: We are living longer, more active lives, yet increased mobility and smaller families mean that many of us find ourselves some distance from close relatives. We want to create a network of social connections, events, information, and support services that will permit Tierrasanta resident members to live conveniently, safely, and happily as they grow older - in their own homes.
